Life!

So ...sometimes you just look around at everyone else's stuff and drama and are thankful for the stuff and drama you have, at least it is familiar right?
My life is a mess, but so is everyone else's, no matter what they want you to think. I think, in the end all we can do is pray for each other and the daily battles that we fight.

Season over???

D.H. (dear hubs) is at Nationals this week with a swimmer who made the cut. Did I mention that Nationals are halfway across the country? Yup! and the kids and I are faring just fine thank you very much.
It hit me tonight that he will be home Sunday and then he will be home....and home cause, oh yeah..Nationals kinda ends the season!!
OMG! what now...every year this happens. After months on end of being a single mom, poof he suddenly reappears and we all have to readjust to life. I sympathize with military spouses in that aspect. How do you do it?

March Madness

It has begun, all my boys in the living room screaming at the TV! They are already planning their brackets and trash talking. This is happening with the 7 and 10 year olds and the 21 and 17 year old. They would be ashamed to know that I pick my bracket on the coolness level of the mascots and the uniform!!

Rantings

If I have been a loyal paying customer for years and years why do I have to pay a higher fee for my services than a new customer. Why is it new customers get all the good deals and those of us who remain loyal see our fees increase every year, shouldn't they go down.
So maybe if I discontinue service for a period of time and then "go-back" I will get the new introductory price, that is a least $50 if not more less than I pay now!!
Just grumbling......

Off-season

I just looked up and realized that it is March and spring and .....I have no children involved in any organized sports activity! Amazing! Course the two older ones have joined the local gym and are currently on a workout regime. Number 3 is still dribbling and shooting basketball every day, when he is not jumping up and hitting the top of every doorway in the house! Number 4 ....well I think sports will not be his forte, the kid loves to cook and is always planning his next concoction.
So I am looking forward to not being a taxi mom and watching a kid "practice" at home and enjoy new recipes!
